To address this global issue, Tahira Nizari and Hendrik Buermann started in 2018 a social enterprise called Kazi Yetu (“Our Work” in Swahili) with the focus on local value addition in Tanzania. Kazi Yetu should manufacture gourmet food and beverage products that are 100% made in East Africa, creating jobs for women and improving livelihoods of farmers.
